Finnish Entrepreneurs' Pension Cross medal to Ilkka Korhonen

Valuable recognition for the work done

Finnish Entrepreneurs Association Suomen Yrittäjät ry has awarded Dust Control Systems Ltd. (DCS) long-term principal owner and CEO Ilkka Korhonen with the Pension Cross medal. In 2007, through a business acquisition, Ilkka Korhonen became an entrepreneur to continue DCS's business started 1983. Over the years, DCS has grown from a competent small engineering firm to a medium-heavy machine workshop supplying gas processing equipment. Through acquisitions, DCS has been connected to e.g. fan business of PT Components LTd., which operated in Lovisa, and the machine workshop of Maintpartner Ltd., which operated in Voikkaa.

"The Pension Cross medal of the Finnish Entrepreneurs Association is a valuable symbol of the work done, thank you for this," says Ilkka Korhonen. "A long entrepreneurial career and the welfare and employment of society produced by entrepreneurship is an achievement I value, a source of satisfaction."

"I emphasize the importance of entrepreneurship, but at the same time I humbly recognize that entrepreneurship is not possible without employees, society and the environment that enable entrepreneurship, within which the entrepreneur's activities are made possible," says Ilkka about the prerequisites for an entrepreneur's survival.
